The Maya - Front Desk Agent Are you a people-oriented professional with a passion for hospitality and teamwork? The Maya is seeking a flexible, outgoing Front Desk Agent to cover a variety of shifts. You will be part of a supportive team that works together to create seamless, memorable guest experiences—whether you're welcoming early arrivals, assisting late-night travelers, or ensuring smooth transitions between shifts. Key Responsibilities Warmly greet and assist guests, ensuring a positive first impression. Manage check-in/check-out efficiently with accuracy and attention to detail. Provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions. Collaborate with teammates and coordinate with other departments to deliver outstanding service. Promptly respond to guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests. Process payments, maintain accurate records, and handle cash responsibly. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area. Answer phone calls, manage reservations, and perform light administrative duties. Requirements:
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior cash handling experience. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Proficient computer skills; experience with Opera is preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Flexible availability for AM, PM, or Mid, including weekends and holidays. Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred; hotel experience a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for up to 8 hours. Occasional lifting or carrying of items up to 20-25 lbs. Ability to bend, reach, and move quickly between front desk and other areas as needed.
