Job Description
Front desk duties: Job duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Friendly, positive, and helpful personality to greet and assist guests during their stay
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Proficiency in using hotel management software, handling online reservations, and processing payments.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain a tidy workspace.
- Manage online, phone, and in-person room reservations.
- Check guests in and out, assign rooms, and issue keys.
- Handle payments for room charges and other fees.
- Answer phones, direct calls, and communicate with other hotel departments to fulfill guest requests.
- Answer questions, provide information about the hotel and local attractions, and resolve guest issues and complaints.
- Ensure the front desk area and lobby is clean and organized.
- Assist with laundry if necessary
- Maintaining a friendly, courteous, and helpful demeanor at all
- Familiarity with hotel amenities, room types, and local attractions.
- Walk the hallways/premise to ensure everything is safe and secure.
- Must be able to relay information to the next shift about what may have transpired during their shift.
