Job Description

We are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic multitaskers to be part of our team to create "Good Energy" for our Guests and our People, true to our Brand vibe. Paid traning will be provided in Morro Bay. Applicants may be asked to work at sister properites in Morro Bay on a rotating schudule even after new hotel is opened.
JOB OVERVIEW
Represent the hotel to the guest throughout all stages of their stay by working with all hotel personnel to ensure every guest experiences superior customer care. Primary Hours for work will be 2PM

RESPONSIBILITES
  • Registering guest, assigning rooms, accommodating special requests, ensuring guests have a pleasant stay and a smooth checkout as per the standards set by the hotel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintains an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments
  • Possesses working knowledge of the reservations department. Takes same day reservations and future reservations.
  • Know the cancellation policy.
  • Knows the room locations, types of rooms available and room rates
  • Greets, registers , and assigns rooms to guests in accordance with established front office procedures
  • Issues room key and escort instructions to guests as appropriate
  • Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services; registration of guests and shopping, dining entertainment, and travel directions.
  • Understands and complies with Company established front office operating procedures, including training, Accounting Policies and Procedures, Cash Handling Procedures and credit Card Policy and Procedures.
  • Understands the government laws and regulations that affect front office operations, ensuring that front office duties are performed in compliance with all applicable laws, ordinances, regulations and requirements of any federal, state or municipal authority.
  • Keeps updated and accurate records of room availability and guests accounts.
  • Posts charges to guest folios in an accurate and timely manner, such as room, food, liquor, pay per view movie or telephone charges.
  • Coordinates with housekeeping for room status updates, late check outs, checkouts, early check ins, special requests and part
  • Coordinate guest room maintenance with the engineering and maintenance division
  • Uses persuasive selling techniques to sell rooms and promote services of the hotel
  • Knows daily activities and meetings taking place in the hotel
  • Reports and unusual occurrences or requests to the manager or assistant manager
  • Manages and resolves all guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintains log of guest issues
  • Processes guest check outs and handles monetary transactions
  • Computes bill, collects payment, and makes change for guests.
  • Operates Property Management System and its interfaces.
  • Prepares guest amenity kits and key cards
  • Assists guests with information about the city, sightseeing and local events
  • Make restaurant, transportation or entertainment recommendations for guests.
  • May deposit guest valuables in hotel safe or safe deposit box
  • Maintains a high level of professional appearance and demeanor
