Job Description

Job Summary A hotel front desk agent represents the first point of contact with guests and handles all stages of a guest's stay. Marriott experience is preferred. Do not apply if you do not have Hotel experience. TownePlace Suites Macon Mercer University is seeking qualified front desk agents with a high level of professionalism and a heart for hospitality. Applicants must have a positive professional attitude, be dependable, responsible and exhibit honesty and integrity in dealing with guests and co-workers. Must have strong interpersonal skills, communication skills and administrative skills. Must be customer minded with an aptitude towards sales. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Organization, problem resolution, time management and attention to detail are a must. Applicants must have a flexible work schedule including some weekends and holidays and is willing to work a night audit shift occasionally.

You are welcome to come to the property during normal business hours. Must have the ability to perform all Front Office associate duties as outlined in hotel specific training. Basic knowledge of how to operate all Front Office equipment. Professionalism and courtesy must be extended to all guests, associates and vendors at all times. All guests should be properly acknowledged and greeted while in public areas. Use and explain the use of TDD equipment for hearing impaired callers or guests. Complete job responsibilities accurately and within a timely manner. Know and understand guest needs and expectations. Must be able to pass a Drug screen and Background Check upon hire.
