Guest Service Agent - Hyatt Place Champaign/Urbana At Hyatt Place Champaign/Urbana, we are committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences through genuine hospitality and outstanding service. We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and service-oriented Guest Service Agent to join our team. The Guest Service Agent serves as the face of the hotel and is responsible for creating a welcoming and seamless experience for guests throughout their stay. This position supports front desk operations, guest services, food and beverage assistance, and overall lobby experience while maintaining Hyatt brand standards. Responsibilities Welcome guests with a warm and professional demeanor during check-in and throughout their stay. Complete guest check-ins, check-outs, and reservations accurately and efficiently. Respond to guest questions, concerns, and service requests promptly and professionally. Assist with food and beverage service, market sales, and lobby cleanliness as needed. Maintain knowledge of hotel services, local attractions, and Hyatt brand standards. Handle credit card transactions, and daily balancing procedures accurately. Support guest recovery efforts to ensure high levels of guest satisfaction. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting lobby and front desk area. Answer phone calls and assist with reservation inquiries. Work collaboratively with housekeeping, maintenance, and other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations. Follow all safety, security, and operational procedures. Qualifications Previous hotel, hospitality, retail, or customer service experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Comfortable using computers and hotel reservation systems. Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to move throughout the hotel and lobby areas as needed.
