Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately. Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision and integrity, ensuring proper cash handling procedures. Assist customers with product demos and answer questions about merchandise to enhance their shopping experience. Upsell products and promote store specials to maximize sales opportunities. Maintain organized checkout areas through merchandising, stocking, and ensuring product displays are appealing. Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely. Support inventory management by stocking shelves and conducting basic merchandising tasks as needed. Skills Proven experience with POS systems and retail sales transactions. Supervising experience or leadership skills are a plus for supporting team efforts. Ability to perform retail math accurately for cash handling and sales calculations. Strong communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor; bilingual abilities are advantageous. Customer service expertise with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences. Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail environments enhances your fit for this role. Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately in a fast-paced setting. Experience in upselling, product demos, merchandising, stocking, and retail sales is highly valued.
