Front Desk Clerk/Night Auditor Century Suites Management Bloomington, IN Job Details Part-time | Full-time From $11.75 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Computer operation Customer communication Cash amount verification Resort Interpersonal skills Basic math High school diploma or GED Attention to detail Full Job Description Hotel Front Desk Clerk Night Shift Thursday through Monday from 11pm to 7am Job Summary The Hotel Front Desk Clerk serves as the first point of contact for guests and is responsible for providing exceptional customer service throughout the guest experience. This position handles guest check-ins and check-outs, reservations, inquiries, and administrative tasks while ensuring a welcoming, professional, and efficient front desk operation. Key Responsibilities Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner. Check guests in and out accurately and efficiently. Process reservations, cancellations, and room assignments. Answer telephone calls and respond to guest inquiries. Handle guest requests, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally. Process payments, refunds, and maintain accurate cash handling procedures. Maintain guest records and update information in the property management system. Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff regarding room status and guest needs. Monitor lobby and front desk areas to ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming environment. Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, reporting, and correspondence. Follow hotel policies, procedures, and security protocols. Promote hotel services, amenities, and local attractions to guests. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous customer service, hospitality, retail, or front desk experience preferred. Basic computer skills and ability to learn hotel management software. Ability to perform basic math calculations and cash handling. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Preferred Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service and interpersonal abilities. Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Work Environment Primarily works at the hotel front desk in a customer-facing environment. Requires standing and walking for extended periods. May occasionally lift or carry items up to 25 pounds. Frequent interaction with guests, vendors, and hotel staff. Must be available to work varying shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
