As a Rooms Controller, you will oversee room inventory, manage strategic room assignments, and ensure our guests receive amodations that meet their needs and preferences. Located steps from the Superdome and surrounded by the vibrant culture of downtown, our hotel is a hub for major conventions, celebrations, and travelers from around the world. In this role, you will serve as the central connection point between Front Office, Housekeeping, Sales, and Reservations — ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and seamlessmunication. You'll support the Front Office team by analyzing reports, optimizing room availability, assigning group blocks, and resolving challenges that impact guest satisfaction. As a leader within the department, you will also coach, guide, and support Front Office colleagues, helping elevate performance and service standards.   • Oversee and manage daily room inventory to maximize selling opportunities
  • Assign room blocks for groups, VIPs, and guest preferences with accuracy and care
  • Analyze reports to ensure room availability aligns with operational needs
  • Serve as the primary resource for Front Office Agents regarding room assignments and inventory questions
  • Collaborate closely with Housekeeping, Sales, Reservations, and Engineering to ensure smooth operations
  • Support the guest registration process, including check‑ins, check‑outs, and room changes when needed
  • Communicate hotel services, amenities, and promotions to guests and colleagues
  • Lead by example through coaching, direction, and support of Front Office team members
  • Assist with training new colleagues on systems, procedures, and service standards

  • Previous hotel or customer service experience preferred
