Job Description

Overview:
We are a Luxury Boutique Hotel Property Management company that manages multiple properties. The ideal candidate must be open to working between multiple properties when needed. We are seeking a friendly, professional, and reliable House Manager to join our team at our group-focused hotel opening at the end of summer in the heart of New Orleans. As the first point of contact for our guests, the House Manager plays a key role in facilitating the ongoing operations of the hotel and assisting the rest of the team in creating a welcoming and seamless experience from check-in to check-out for all guests. The ideal candidate is one that can identify property needs, take ownership, and follow through without requiring detailed instructions. The ideal candidate also anticipates tasks, solves problems independently, and keeps projects moving forward with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform unit turnover checks
  • Coordinate suite turnover cleanings with Housekeeping
  • Ensure all suites are stocked with necessary supplies
  • Organize and manage the supply room and order additional supplies
  • Perform light maintenance tasks including; tightening loose furniture, changing light bulbs, working to remove stains from furniture and carpet, removing scuff marks off of walls, tightening lose door handles as needed.
  • Greet and assist guests with check-in, check-out, and reservation inquiries
  • Provide excellent customer service to ensure guest satisfaction throughout their stay
  • Answer phones and respond to guest questions regarding the hotel, local attractions, and services
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms are ready and any guest concerns are promptly addressed
  • Process payments, facilitate access codes, and manage Suite assignments
  • Maintain accurate guest records and handle confidential information with discretion
  • Monitor group bookings, assist with group check-ins, and support group leaders with logistical needs
  • Handle guest complaints or issues in a calm, efficient, and courteous manner
  • Keep the front desk, pool, lobby/atrium clean, organized, and presentable
  • Other special projects as deemed necessary by management

  • Demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Provide consistent and courteous service to guests of all backgrounds
  • Adapt to high-paced environments, especially during peak travel seasons or group arrivals
  • Collaborate with Assistant House Manager to ensure smooth daily operations
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Reliable transportation
  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality
  • Comfortable using hotel management software and basic computer systems
  • Flexible schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
  • Familiarity with New Orleans tourism and local attractions is a plus
