About Us:
Welcome to the Cedar Motor Inn , a Marquette staple since 1967 and a proud member of the Base Hospitality Group family. We're not your typical roadside stay, we're where nostalgia meets comfort , and our guests come for the charm and stay for the genuine Yooper hospitality. If you love local vibes, cozy cabins, and making people smile, you'll fit right in! Your Mission (should you choose to accept it): Be the heartbeat of the hotel . Our front desk team isn't just about check-ins and check-outs, they're storytellers, problem-solvers, and experience-makers. You'll be the first friendly face our guests see and the last impression they leave with.
What You'll Be Doing:
Greeting and welcoming guests with authentic UP charm Managing check-ins, check-outs, and reservations Answering phone calls, emails, and the occasional "what's there to do around here?" Light concierge work, recommending local gems (Blackrocks? Sugarloaf? Tell 'em!) Collaborating with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure top-tier guest experience Handles transactions and daily reporting (we'll teach you!) Keeping the lobby area tidy and inviting
We're Looking For Someone Who Is:
Friendly, upbeat, and genuinely loves helping people Comfortable with multitasking, calm in chaos, quick with a smile Tech-savvy enough to navigate booking software, but still knows how to write a nice note Responsible and punctual, your team counts on you A fan of the UP (or ready to become one!)
