Front Desk Associate Mankato, MN $16
  • $17 an hour

  • Part-time Our award winning Motel 6, with a score of 9.4 on Expedia, is seeking applicants for a part-time position (up to 2-4, 8hr shifts per week, or 8-32 hours each week. During the training period you would work up to 4 shifts each week) . We currently have a shifts available from 7am
  • 3pm, and 3pm
  • 11pm.
These are not seasonal positions. The front desk associate's primary responsibilities are to assist customers before, during, and after their stay. Provide outstanding and detailed customer service. Ensure all hotel policies are being followed by maintaining a secure, family-friendly environment. Completing cleaning tasks and folding laundry.
Minimum Availability:
Must be available for shifts from either 7am
  • 3pm or 3pm
  • 11pm Must be available for at least 3 shifts per week Must be available for weekend shifts every-other weekend (both Saturdays and Sundays)
Responsibilities Include:
Greet and assist customers with all their needs Register guests, process departures, make reservations Check guests in and out, printing out invoices for them Making reservations and sending confirmations Restock breakfast items and put them away when the breakfast period is complete Use a phone and a property management computer system Washing and folding of linens/terry Sanitizing, sweeping/mopping, and cleaning public spaces and employee areas Maintain watch over the facility and be able to remove problematic guests or guests breaking hotel policy with help from law enforcement Investigating or analyzing out-of-balance situations and adjusting or correcting accounts as needed

Requirements:
Must be able to problem-solve and resolve guest issues Must be able to respond appropriately to emergency situations Must be able to read, write, and speak English Must have basic math knowledge to balance and verify totals on accounts Must be able to interpret and follow policies and procedures. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision Must be able to learn the Motel 6 property management software in a timely manner Must be able to frequently stand, sit, push, pull, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as well as talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to see differences in widths and lengths of lines, such as those on graphs
Work Environment:
General hospitality environment This position will primarily work inside an environmentally controlled workspace This position will work outside only for waste and snow removal or to maintain sidewalk and parking lot cleanliness This position may have to enter guest rooms, vacant rooms and maintenance rooms This position may have to enter public bathrooms and public spaces (i.e. elevator, hallway, etc.) Part-Time employment Employee Discounts #hc236825
