The Role As a Part Time Front Desk Agent at The Radical, you're more than a check-in point. You're a storyteller, a local guide, a problem-solver, and the first face guests see when they walk through our doors. You'll bring warmth, energy, and genuine curiosity to every interaction — making every guest feel like they've arrived somewhere truly special. This part time role is ideal for someone who thrives in a creative, fast-paced environment and wants to be part of a team that actually cares about the work they do. What You'll Do Welcome guests with warmth and authenticity — making arrivals and departures feel effortless and memorable Manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently while personalizing every interaction Serve as a local expert — sharing genuine recommendations for Asheville dining, art, music, and experiences Handle reservations, room assignments, and special requests with care and attention to detail Respond to guest questions, concerns, and needs with a calm, solutions-first attitude Communicate seamlessly with housekeeping, F&B, and other departments to ensure a smooth guest experience Process payments, manage cash handling, and maintain accurate front desk records Represent The Radical's brand with professionalism, personality, and pride Support the team during peak periods, events, and property activations Who You Are You have a genuine love for hospitality and connecting with people You're energetic, curious, and thrive in a dynamic, ever-changing environment You stay calm under pressure and find creative solutions when things don't go as planned You're a strong communicator — clear, warm, and professional in person and in writing You're detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture: an exceptional guest experience You're passionate about Asheville's culture, community, and what makes this city special You have prior hotel, hospitality, or customer service experience (preferred, not required — we believe in attitude over experience) You're comfortable with hotel property management systems or eager to learn You're available for flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends, and holidays Why Join Us at The Radical Working at The Radical means being part of something bigger than a job.
