Job Description

New Directions is looking to hire a full-time front desk receptionist in our counseling practice. We are a stable business serving individuals and families in Lenoir, NC for over 20 years. We are looking for someone who is energetic, friendly and learns quickly. This position requires the ability to multitask, manage details, and problem solve. Applicants with good organization skills, an aptitude for working with a team, and who can be dependable are ideal. This candidate should at least a year of medical office experience. Basic computer skills and knowledge of how to use fax, scan, navigate Microsoft Office software and the internet are needed. Other tasks will include frequent communication with other team members, management of scheduling, creating reports and securing documentation from clients as needed, collecting and verification of insurance information, answering and routing telephone calls, and the greeting and engagement of clients as they arrive for their appointments. Awareness of
ICD-10 & CPT
codes would be a strength. Proficiency in keyboard skills, experience in use of an electronic health record (EHR), and working knowledge of HIPAA standards are encouraged. A strong candidate would have good interpersonal skills and the ability to be the "face" of our practice, often acting as a liaison between our practice and referral sources. This position will work 5 days a week. High school degree required.
