PM Guest Services Representative Wednesday-Saturday 3P-10P •Serious Inquiries Only• 229 Greenville Street, Saluda, NC 28773 From $17 an hour - Full-time From $17 an hour - Full-time We are looking for a PM Guest Services Representative to make our guests of The Saluda Inn feel welcome and ensure they have a pleasant and comfortable stay at our Inn. Guest Services Representatives responsibilities include; greeting guests as they arrive, coordinating their check-ins to assigned rooms and informing them about the inn's facilities. A front-desk staff, includes being a Receptionist and a Concierge while offering stellar customer service and providing memorable hospitality experiences for our guests. If you have previous hospitality experience and are familiar with Inn or hotel procedures, like bookings, luggage collection, storage and check-in/check-out processes, we'd like to meet you. Our ideal candidates have a flair for communication, with the ability to resolve issues in a timely and accurate manner. Ultimately, you will provide guest services and maintain high standards by answering guests' requests and making sure our visitors are satisfied. Responsibilities Reach out to the guests prior to their stay and see what upscale guest service experiences we can provide throughout their stay Promptly address guests' requests, like coordinating activities with local attractions, i.e. zip lining, kayaking, hiking, etc. and making dinner reservations at local restaurants. Create their itinerary and all details printed or emailed to them for their stay Ensure guests are properly greeted upon their arrival Maintain a positive and professional self while talking to a guest on the phone or in person Monitor daily bookings and ensure assigned rooms are prepared prior to check-in Make sure all special accommodations and requests are placed in the guests rooms prior to their arrival Coordinate luggage collection and storage Light bartending for drinks when Wine Cellar is not open. Help in Wine Cellar on a busy Friday night. Use a leaf blower to blow front porches and steps. Oversee check-in and check-out procedures, including reservations and financial transactions Actively listen to the guests and resolve complaints Ensure special guests, like disabled people, elderly, and VIPs, receive personalized services Coordinate and manage communication between guests and staff and follow up to ensure we resolve customer concerns Inform guests of our Inn services, including complimentary breakfast and our Wine Cellar for a full bar and small eats Promote all Inn amenities, conveniences and programs offered Ensure that we comply with all standards and operating procedures Liaise with Housekeepers and all staff to provide an overall comfortable guest experience Assist with complimentary breakfast set up and clean up in the sunroom areas Analyze customer feedback from Inn guests and online reviews and suggest ways to improve ratings Recommend local tourist spots, including places to dine, shop and sight-see and keep a book for the guests to view menus, attraction sites, hiking trails, etc. am keep up to date and attractive Establish relationships with all lnn guests to make their stay more memorable When guests check out see if they would like to book their next visit Skills Proven work experience as a Guest Services Representative or similar role Work experience in the Hospitality and Events Industry Understanding of all Inn/Hotel Management best practices and relevant laws Hands-on experience with Inn/Hotel Management software, Think Reservations, Quick Books, credit card machine and restaurant POS system preferred Proficiency in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus Customer service drive with outstanding communication and active listening skills Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills Ability to multitask as you take a reservation over the phone and enter all the information into the system and run a credit card Ability to work in a fast paced environment, work flexible hours, nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to show leadership, professionalism at all times and to get along with co-workers Strong sense of responsibility and a professional presentation
