Job Description

Environment Old Dutch Inn, is a luxury boutique lodging venue. We provide an unparalleled level of hospitality where guests feel like they have a personal concierge throughout their stay. Hotel Hosts are Ambassadors for our hotel as well as for our local area. Guests with discerning tastes and high standards feel at home at Old Dutch Inn. We are an inclusive employer and host. Duties Perform pre-arrival and departure room checks Greeting and checking guests in and out Assisting with guest itinerary arrangements Printing management reports Booking computer-based reservations and cancellations Answering the public telephone and internal Guest Services number Light housekeeping Property tours Becoming familiar with and sharing the hotel and local history with visitors Familiarize with and follow all hotel emergency procedures Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager Necessary Skills The ability to communicate politely and charmingly with guests is essential. Familiarity with either the Columbia County cultural, food, or hospitality scene is required. Experience with PMS systems, especially Mews, is advantageous but not required. The willingness to learn is required. Being comfortable learning new technology is essential to success.
Shifts Saturday:
730am•1130am (4 hours), 730-230 (7 hours)
Saturday:
1130am•330am (4 hours)
Sunday:
8am•12pm (4 hours) We work holidays, weekends, school closure days and in snow storms Hotel Hosts are very public-facing and must be social, professional, and enjoy engaging with guests. We are a guest-centric organization and our hospitality standard requires going above and beyond, always.
