Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and professional Front Desk Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. If you have a passion for hospitality and enjoy interacting with people, we would love to hear from you. Duties Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor. Manage front desk operations, including check-ins and check-outs. Handle guest inquiries and provide information about hotel services and local attractions. Have knowledge about guest rooms, locations, amenities, features and all other services offered by the hotel. Be aware of current guest service scores, and be able to understand guest comments and needs. Be an active participant in achieving the goals of the hotel. Be able to operate hotel reservations software competently and efficiently. Perform guest registration and room assignment and accommodate special requests of all guests. Be knowledgeable about Choice Hotels reward program Answer the phones according to the standards of proper etiquette and as quickly as possible. Respond to guest needs, special requests and complaints and alert the appropriate manager as needed Ensure the cleanliness of the front desk and back office area at all times. Utilize spare time for cleaning ie: lobby, entrances, public restrooms and any other areas, requested by the General Manager or the Front Desk Manager. Assist all guests in problems and questions as required. Assist fellow associates in their jobs when able to improve daily operations of the hote Maintain accurate records of reservations and cancellations. Assist with calendar management for appointments and events. Perform clerical duties such as proofreading documents and managing correspondence. Ensure the front desk area is tidy and organized at all times. Collaborate with other departments to fulfill guest requests and resolve issues promptly. Utilize computer systems for booking management and customer support. Requirements Proven experience in customer service or front desk roles is preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Proficient in computer literacy, including familiarity with hotel management software. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail, particularly in proofreading and clerical tasks. A positive attitude and a commitment to providing outstanding guest experiences. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
