Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Front End Associate to join our team in providing exceptional guest services at our Animal Shelter. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for guests, and facilitating smooth adoption processes. This role requires strong communication skills and a passion for animal welfare.
Responsibilities :
Greeting visitors : Welcoming visitors and patrons in a friendly and helpful manner Answering questions : Answering questions about the shelter, its policies, and local animal welfare Assisting with adoptions : Helping potential adopters view animals, answering questions, and completing paperwork Processing payments : Accepting payments for adoptions, microchips, ID tags, and return to owner fees Maintaining the front desk : Keeping the front desk and lobby clean, organized, and free of clutter Handling phone calls : Answering and directing phone calls to the appropriate staff member Assisting with inventory : Ordering, purchasing, and inventorying supplies Coordinating with staff : Working with other staff members to ensure the department runs efficiently Front desk position may also involve: Assisting with animal returns to owners, working with volunteers, performing light cleaning duties, assisting with animal caretakers and animal control officers, and dispatching animal control Qualifications Previous experience in guest services or hospitality management is preferred. Familiarity with front desk operations in a SPCA or rescue setting is a plus. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members. Proficient in using phone systems. Ability to work Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 11:00am-6:30pm and Saturday 11:00am-5:30pm A commitment to providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.
