City Express by Marriott - Findlay, OH New Hotel Opening | Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Join Our Opening Team Be part of something exciting from the very beginning. City Express by Marriott is opening a brand-new hotel in Findlay, Ohio, and we are seeking enthusiastic, service-oriented Front Desk Agents to help launch our property and create exceptional guest experiences from day one. As a member of our opening team, you will have the unique opportunity to help establish the culture, service standards, and operational excellence of a new Marriott-branded hotel. We are looking for dependable individuals who are passionate about hospitality, enjoy working with people, and are excited to grow with a new property Job Summary The Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing courteous, professional, and efficient guest service by performing all front desk-related functions in accordance with hotel standard operating procedures and Marriott brand standards. As a member of the opening team , this position plays a key role in establishing service culture, operational consistency, and the overall guest experience from day one. The Front Desk Agent serves as a primary guest contact and represents the hotel as an ambassador of hospitality. Essential Job Functions Greet guests upon arrival and complete check-in procedures in a timely and accurate manner Assign guest rooms and ensure registration requirements are met Provide room rate information and promote upselling opportunities when appropriate Process guest check-outs and ensure accurate posting of charges and credits to guest folios Collect and process payments in accordance with cash-handling and accounting procedures Balance cashier bank at the beginning and end of each shift to the contracted amount Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns in a professional and timely manner Resolve guest issues within scope of authority and escalate matters to the Front Desk Manager or General Manager as necessary Answer and manage incoming telephone calls, provide general information, and route calls to appropriate departments Manage walk-in traffic and maintain a welcoming, professional front desk environment Support opening-phase operations, including learning new systems, workflows, and brand standards Assist the Director of Sales or Sales Manager with coordination tasks when requested or as workload permits Maintain regular communication with the Front Desk Manager Perform other duties as assigned Additional Responsibilities Participate in special projects, task forces, or committees as assigned by management Support continuous improvement efforts as procedures and workflows are refined during hotel opening and stabilization Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required One (1) to three (3) years of prior hotel front desk experience preferred Strong customer service skills with a guest-focused approach Ability to manage reservations and coordinate guest schedules Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, and telephone communication skills Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Work Requirements Full-Time and Part-Time positions available Shift availability required: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays Ability to stand for extended periods of time Willingness to adapt to changing procedures during the opening and stabilization phase Compliance with Marriott brand standards, appearance guidelines, and company policies
