Job Description

With City Express by Marriott Gettysburg , you'll be at the heart of our guest experience. As a freshly remodeled hotel getting ready to open our doors, we are looking for the team that will bring this beautiful new space to life! Think of yourself as the first friendly face our guests see, whether they're here to explore historic battlefields, traveling for business, or just passing through. You'll be instrumental in ensuring every guest's stay is smooth, modern, and memorable. This means you'll be: Kicking off their trip on the right foot with a quick, friendly check-in that brings the energy of our brand-new lobby to life. Showing off our fresh new spaces , helping guests pick out treats from the pantry, and taking care of phone calls with a welcoming vibe. Staying ahead of the game with reservations , making sure our Marriott Bonvoy members and first-time guests alike have everything they need before they walk through the door. Your energy and attention to detail will be key in delivering the seamless, smart, and welcoming experience our guests expect from City Express by Marriott. You won't just be working the front desk—you'll be bringing our brand's promise of casual comfort and effortless travel to life right here in historic Gettysburg. Reports to :
Front Desk Supervisor, General Manager Front Desk Essential Tasks :
Act in accordance to As One Mission and Values, as well as Brand standard practices Enthusiastically greet guests upon arrival. Register and assign rooms to guests promptly and efficiently. Ensure safety measures are followed at all times. Date-stamp, sort, and rack incoming mail and messages. Transmit and receive messages using all communication avenues. Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions. Communicate effectively with guests and resolve complaints swiftly and effectively. Help hotels meet revenue goals Compute bills, collect payment, and make change for guests. Make, confirm, and cancel reservations via all communication avenues. Accurately post charges such as room, or food. Make reservations, transportation, or entertainment reservations for guests. Deposit guest valuables in the hotel safe deposit box as requested and appropriate. Log and conduct wake-up calls timely and pleasantly. Ability to focus on the guest, ensuring complete satisfaction with each transaction and interaction. Ability to accurately use various office software. Follow all company and brand policies around safety procedures and training Assist with keeping the public spaces clean and appealing including but not limited to; trash removal, dusting, maintaining market/pantry stocking and rotation of supplies, and clean lobby appearance (mop/vac as needed) Act as Manager on Duty when senior management is not present for guest issues in accordance to your training and logically for the benefit of guests and company. Complete and follow all training as assigned. Ability to willingly perform other customer service and guest-related functions as required. Your Background and Skills High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. 1 to 3 years of related work experience.
CPR/FIRST AID
certifications preferred. Collaborative Problem Solver Self Motivated Positive Disposition Solution Orientated Math and Computer Literacy Work Environment and Context Work schedule could vary and may include working all shifts, holidays and weekends. Requires standing for extended periods of time, the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, bending, reaching, stooping, manual dexterity, kneeling or crouching. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.
