Front Desk Agent

The Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing excellent guest service while managing the daily operations of the hotel front desk. This role includes guest check-ins and check-outs, handling reservations, responding to guest needs, coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance teams, and ensuring a smooth and positive guest experience from arrival to departure. Responsibilities Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner Perform guest check-in and check-out procedures accurately Answer phone calls, emails, and guest inquiries promptly Manage reservations and room assignments using hotel management software Process payments, refunds, and daily cash handling procedures Respond to guest concerns and resolve issues efficiently and professionally Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments regarding room status and guest requests Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area Assist with hotel operations and administrative tasks as needed Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety standards, and guest confidentiality Qualifications Previous hotel, hospitality, customer service, or front desk experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Comfortable using computers, POS systems, and reservation software Professional appearance and positive attitude Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays High school diploma or equivalent required Preferred Skills Experience with hotel PMS systems such as Opera, Cloudbeds, or SynXis Cash handling and payment processing experience Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply

Pay:

$9.50 - $10.25 per hour
