Job Description

Position Summary The Front Desk Agent is responsible for welcoming guests, managing reservations, processing check-ins and check-outs, handling guest requests, and ensuring a positive guest experience throughout their stay. This position serves as the face of the hotel and plays a key role in delivering excellent customer service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Greet guests with a friendly and professional attitude. Process guest check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently. Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries. Make, modify, and cancel reservations using the hotel reservation system. Handle cash, credit card transactions, and balance shift reports. Respond promptly to guest requests, concerns, and complaints. Maintain knowledge of hotel services, amenities, and local attractions. Assist with IHG One Rewards enrollment and member recognition. Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure guest satisfaction. Monitor room availability and communicate room status updates. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area. Follow hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards. Complete daily operational and administrative tasks as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous hotel, customer service, retail, or hospitality experience is a plus but not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills and ability to learn hotel management software. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Ability to work at a computer and use office equipment. Why Join Our Team?
