Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Front Desk Clerk is the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in providing a welcoming and efficient check-in and check-out experience. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome guests upon arrival in a friendly and professional manner. Perform check-in and check-out procedures accurately using the property management system. Answer phone calls, take reservations, and provide information about hotel services and local attractions. Resolve guest concerns or escalate them to management as needed. Handle payment transactions and maintain accurate cash drawer records. Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable front desk area. Assist with administrative and clerical tasks as required. Communicate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; some college or hospitality training is a plus. Previous front desk or customer service experience preferred but not required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure. Basic computer skills and familiarity with hotel software systems. Must be available to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
