Job Description

Job Summary The historic General Francis Marion Hotel is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Guest Services Agent to join our team. This position primarily works 3rd shift (overnight) 3-4 days per week, with occasional coverage for 2nd shift as needed. This role combines front desk responsibilities, night audit duties, and a strong focus on maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the hotel's public spaces. Responsibilities Guest Services /
Front Desk:
Greet and assist guests in a friendly and professional manner Handle check-ins, check-outs, and reservations Answer phones and respond to guest inquiries Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally
Night Audit Duties:
Perform nightly audit procedures and reconcile daily transactions Balance cash, credit cards, and system reports Prepare daily reports and ensure accuracy of guest accounts Cleaning & Property Upkeep (Primary Focus Overnight): Maintain cleanliness of all public areas including lobby, hallways, restrooms, and entryways Clean, vacuum, dust, and sanitize high-traffic areas throughout the shift Ensure front desk and lobby areas remain clean, organized, and presentable at all times Monitor and restock supplies in public spaces Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly Qualifications Previous hotel or customer service experience preferred Strong attention to detail and reliability Ability to work independently and stay productive overnight Excellent communication and guest service skills Basic computer skills (hotel system experience a plus) Must be able to work overnight (3rd shift) and occasional 2nd shift coverage Weekend availability required Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs Ability to perform cleaning tasks for extended periods
