Guest Services Representatives play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by providing prompt, courteous, and professional service throughout the guest's stay. This position requires weekend availability and a flexible schedule.
Job Summary:
The Guest Services Representative is responsible for welcoming guests, managing check-in and check-out procedures, handling reservations, and serving as a knowledgeable resource for hotel services and local attractions. Successful candidates are service-oriented, adaptable, and thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Greet and assist guests with a warm, professional, and personalized approach Process guest check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently Answer incoming phone calls, take messages, and manage reservations Act as a guest concierge by providing information on hotel services, amenities, directions, and local attractions Respond promptly and professionally to guest needs, special requests, and complaints Resolve guest concerns thoughtfully and creatively to exceed expectations Use guest names naturally to provide personalized service Process payments and handle financial transactions in accordance with company policies Complete daily accounting procedures and shift reports accurately Operate PBX systems and manage mail and message services Maintain hospitality standards at all times, including eye contact, warm smiles, and courteous conversation
Teamwork & Collaboration:
Maintain a flexible schedule, including weekends Assist other team members with various tasks as needed Treat all team members with respect, dignity, and professionalism Share feedback and ideas to improve guest experiences and prevent future issues
Qualifications:
1-2 years of customer service experience (hotel experience strongly preferred) Prior experience with Opera PMS and Micros POS systems preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Friendly, energetic, and guest-focused demeanor Ability to multitask and perform well in a fast-paced environment Open-minded and welcoming to guests from all cultures and backgrounds
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items weighing 10-40 pounds as required Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
