Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Hotel General Manager to oversee all aspects of hotel operations. The ideal candidate will lead daily operations, drive guest satisfaction, manage staff performance, ensure financial profitability, and maintain high service standards across all departments. The Hotel General Manager will be responsible for creating an exceptional guest experience while achieving operational and revenue goals. Key Responsibilities Operations Management Oversee daily hotel operations including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, maintenance, and guest services Ensure compliance with company policies, brand standards, and local regulations Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction Monitor operational efficiency and implement process improvements Staff Leadership Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department managers and hotel staff Foster a positive, professional, and service-oriented work environment Conduct performance reviews and support employee development Manage staffing schedules and labor costs Guest Experience Address guest concerns and resolve escalated issues promptly Ensure exceptional customer service standards are consistently maintained Monitor guest feedback and online reviews to improve service quality Financial Management Develop and manage hotel budgets Monitor revenue, expenses, payroll, and profitability Analyze financial reports and implement strategies to improve performance Drive occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR goals Sales & Business Development Support sales and marketing initiatives to maximize occupancy and revenue Build relationships with corporate clients, travel partners, and local businesses Identify opportunities for growth and market expansion Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with health, safety, labor, and licensing regulations Maintain security and emergency procedures Oversee property maintenance and vendor relationships Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred 5+ years of hotel management experience, including leadership responsibilities Strong knowledge of hotel operations, budgeting, and customer service Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Experience with hotel management software and PMS systems Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays Preferred Skills Multi-department leadership experience Strong financial and analytical abilities Conflict resolution and decision-making skills Knowledge of hospitality industry trends and best practices Brand experience with major hotel chains preferred Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary Performance bonuses Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Employee hotel discounts Retirement plan options
