Job Description

A Front Office Manager (FOM) at a Four Points by Sheraton, a Marriott International brand, is a department head responsible for the seamless execution of all guest arrival and departure procedures. The role balances hands-on leadership with administrative oversight to ensure high guest satisfaction and departmental profitability.
Core Responsibilities Operational Leadership:
Manage daily front desk operations, including check-ins, check-outs, and reservations. You will also oversee related areas such as the bell staff, switchboard, and guest services.
Team Development:
Recruit, interview, and train staff on proper procedures and brand standards. You are responsible for scheduling, coaching, and conducting performance evaluations.
Guest Experience & Problem Resolution:
Act as a "Service Champion" by resolving guest complaints and handling special requests or VIP arrivals. You must continuously monitor guest satisfaction scores and implement action plans to address any service gaps.
Financial Management:
Manage departmental expenses and labor costs to meet or exceed budgeted goals. You also supervise "same-day selling" procedures to maximize room revenue and occupancy.
Brand Compliance:
Ensure the team adheres to Marriott's specific service culture, including Marriott Bonvoy standards and credit policies to reduce bad debt.
Candidate Requirements Education:
High school diploma or GED with 2-4 years of hospitality experience, or a 2-year degree in Hospitality/Business.
Experience:
Previous leadership experience in a hotel front office is typically required. Marriott Experience a plus
Skills:
Strong communication, problem-solving, and proficiency in hotel property management systems (PMS).
Lightspeed Flexibility:
Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Key Performance Guest Satisfaction Scores:
Tracking feedback via Marriott's internal systems.
Financial Accuracy:
Success in managing controllable expenses and revenue-generating activities like room upsells.
Operational Efficiency:
Average check-in/check-out times and service recovery rates.
Pay:
$18.50 - $19.50 per hour
