Formerly known as the Ontario Airport Hotel & Conference Center, our 309-room full-service hotel is undergoing a major renovation and brand conversion under new ownership. Conveniently located just one mile from Ontario International Airport, Hyatt Regency Ontario Airport is committed to delivering elevated guest experiences, exceptional service, and a culture focused on hospitality excellence. Position Summary The Front Desk Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Front Office Department, ensuring exceptional guest service standards, operational efficiency, and team performance. This individual will play a key role in fostering a positive and welcoming environment for both guests and colleagues while supporting the hotel's overall operational and financial goals.
Essential Responsibilities:
Oversee daily front desk operations, including guest check-in/check-out procedures, reservations, and guest services. Lead, coach, train, and develop Front Office colleagues to maintain Hyatt service standards and operational excellence. Create and manage departmental schedules, monitor labor costs, and support payroll processes. Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction by promptly resolving guest concerns and service recovery opportunities. Maintain compliance with Hyatt brand standards, hotel policies, and operational procedures. Monitor departmental performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement. Collaborate with Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage, and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, and revenue optimization initiatives. Maintain accurate records related to guest accounts, room inventory, and financial transactions. Support recruitment, onboarding, and colleague engagement initiatives within the department. Foster a culture of professionalism, teamwork, accountability, and hospitality excellence. Qualifications Minimum of 2-3 years of Front Office leadership experience in a hotel environment required. Full-service hotel experience strongly preferred. Previous Hyatt experience is a plus. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS). Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences. Availability :
