  • Full-time Position Overview The Hotel General Manager is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations of a limited-service economy hotel while delivering strong guest satisfaction, financial performance, and team leadership.
This position requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage hotel operations, staff performance, guest relations, and property standards in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management
  • Oversee daily hotel operations including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, breakfast, and guest services
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, safety requirements, and company policies
  • Maintain high levels of cleanliness, service quality, and overall guest satisfaction
  • Monitor online reviews and guest feedback and respond professionally when needed
  • Handle guest concerns and service recovery situations in a calm and professional manner
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for property maintenance and repairs
  • Conduct regular inspections of guestrooms, public areas, and hotel grounds Staff Leadership
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise hotel team members
  • Foster a positive and accountable work environment
  • Lead by example through strong customer service and operational involvement
  • Manage employee performance, coaching, and disciplinary actions when necessary
  • Ensure proper staffing levels based on occupancy and business demands Financial Management
  • Monitor payroll, labor costs, and departmental expenses
  • Maximize occupancy and revenue opportunities while maintaining service standards
  • Review daily reports, revenue performance, and operational metrics
  • Work closely with revenue management systems and OTA extranets as needed Sales & Guest Experience
  • Support local sales efforts and relationship building with repeat guests and businesses
  • Ensure guests receive friendly, efficient, and personalized service
  • Maintain awareness of local events, seasonality, and market trends in Palm Springs
  • Promote loyalty program enrollment and guest retention initiatives Qualifications
  • Previous hotel management experience as a GM or AGM preferred
  • Experience with hotel property management systems and OTA platforms
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays when needed
  • Knowledge of housekeeping, front office, maintenance coordination, and hotel operations
  • Ability to multitask and remain professional under pressure Compensation & Benefits
