This role requires a strategic operator with deep extended-stay expertise who can build a hotel from the ground up—assembling a high-performing team, driving revenue through local market penetration, and delivering strong financial results. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and understands how to balance rate integrity, length of stay (ALOS), and operational efficiency to maximize GOP. Key Responsibilities Pre-Opening Leadership Lead all pre-opening activities including hiring, onboarding, and training Execute Choice Hotels brand requirements and systems setup Develop a 90-day ramp-up strategy focused on occupancy and ADR Establish local sales presence targeting airport, logistics, and corporate demand Revenue & Sales Strategy Drive extended-stay business and ALOS growth Balance OTA exposure with direct sales Lead corporate partnerships and LNR negotiations Manage STR comp set positioning and market share Operations & Financial Performance Deliver financial results aligned with ownership expectations Manage labor, cost controls, and departmental productivity Oversee daily hotel operations Ensure compliance with brand and safety standards Team Leadership & Culture Build a high-performance culture Recruit, train, and mentor staff Set clear KPIs and expectations Lead as a hands-on operator Qualifications 3+ years General Manager experience in extended stay Choice Hotels experience preferred New hotel opening experience strongly preferred Strong financial and operational acumen Excellent leadership and communication skills Compensation Compensation is based on experience, with a salary range of $70,000 to $90,000, plus bonus potential.
