Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and energetic General Manager to lead our boutique hot springs hotel located in a scenic mountain town. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to oversee all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring an exceptional guest experience while maintaining operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, strong leadership skills, and a proactive approach to managing staff, guest relations, and business performance. Housing is included for the right candidate, providing a unique chance to immerse yourself fully in this vibrant community and natural setting. Responsibilities Lead and supervise all hotel departments, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance, fostering a collaborative team environment. Oversee daily hotel operations to ensure smooth functioning and high standards of guest service. Manage revenue streams through effective pricing strategies, occupancy management, and upselling techniques to maximize profitability. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards aligned with hospitality best practices. Handle guest relations with professionalism and enthusiasm, resolving issues promptly to ensure memorable stays. Oversee human resources functions such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development initiatives. Maintain compliance with safety regulations, licensing requirements, and health standards across all hotel operations. Skills Proven experience in hospitality management or hotel operations with supervising responsibilities. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service skills coupled with effective communication abilities across diverse audiences; multilingual or bilingual capabilities are a plus. Expertise in revenue management, budgeting, and financial oversight to optimize operational efficiency. Knowledge of hotel management systems, front desk operations, multi-line phone systems, and phone etiquette. Experience with human resources practices including hiring, training, employee relations, and compliance. Ability to handle night audit procedures and manage guest services during late hours effectively.
