The ideal candidate is adaptable, energetic, and goal-driven with a proven track record in hotel management. Position Summary The General Manager will oversee all aspects of extended stay hotel operations for a property located in Jacksonville, FL. This leader will be responsible for driving revenue, controlling expenses, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining brand standards, and developing a strong service-focused team culture. The ideal candidate is highly operational, hands-on, organized, and experienced in managing hotel teams in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Operations Management Direct and oversee all hotel operations including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, sales, and guest services. Ensure compliance with company policies, brand standards, and operational procedures. Maintain exceptional cleanliness, service quality, and property presentation. Conduct regular property inspections to ensure operational excellence. Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns and operational challenges. Maintain a strong visible presence throughout the property. Financial Performance Manage hotel budgets, forecasting, labor controls, and financial reporting. Drive RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, and overall hotel profitability. Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost control and operational efficiencies. Analyze weekly and monthly financial performance metrics. Ensure accurate cash handling, invoicing, and financial compliance. Leadership & Team Development Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop hotel staff. Foster a positive, accountable, and service-oriented culture. Conduct performance evaluations and ongoing employee development. Lead daily stand-up meetings and departmental communication. Ensure proper scheduling and labor management. Promote employee engagement and retention. Guest Experience Ensure outstanding guest satisfaction and service recovery. Monitor online reviews and guest feedback platforms. Implement service improvement initiatives when needed. Sales & Community Engagement Support local sales initiatives and business development efforts. Build relationships with local businesses, corporate accounts, and travel partners. Assist with occupancy strategies and market penetration. Collaborate with revenue management and sales teams to maximize performance. Property Maintenance & Safety Ensure the property is properly maintained and compliant with safety standards. Coordinate preventative maintenance programs. Maintain compliance with OSHA, health, safety, and fire regulations. Oversee vendor relationships and service contracts. Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of extended stay hotel management experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proven ability to drive financial results and guest satisfaction. Experience with hotel PMS systems and hotel reporting tools. Ability to lead by example in a hands-on operational environment. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
