Company Hilton Garden Inn Jacksonville JTB Deer Park - Managed by Genuine Hospitality Location Jacksonville Florida About the Hotel Hilton Garden Inn Jacksonville JTB/Deerwood Park is a 119-room, focused-service hotel located in the Deerwood Park corporate center, with convenient access to I‑95, I‑295, and Butler Boulevard, and just minutes from the St. Johns Town Center, University of North Florida, and Jacksonville's key business and medical hubs. The hotel offers an on-site restaurant , outdoor pool, fitness center, and approximately 2,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event space, catering to a diverse mix of corporate, group, leisure, and extended-stay guests. Position Overview The General Manager is the primary strategic business leader of the hotel, responsible for overall operations, financial performance, guest satisfaction, team engagement, and brand compliance. This role leads all departments, partners closely with ownership and the management company, and ensures the hotel consistently delivers Hilton Garden Inn brand standards while growing market share and profitability. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop department leaders and team members to deliver excellent guest service and a positive work environment. Own the hotel
P&L:
develop and manage budgets, forecasts, cost controls, and financial reporting to meet or exceed GOP and NOI targets. Drive revenue through effective revenue management, sales efforts, and market positioning in partnership with sales and revenue teams. Ensure consistent achievement of Hilton QA, brand standards, and regulatory compliance, including preparation for brand and third‑party inspections. Maintain a visible presence on the floor, engaging guests, resolving issues, and monitoring product and service quality throughout the hotel. Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and retain staff while fostering a culture of accountability, recognition, and teamwork. Build strong relationships with key corporate accounts, community partners, and local demand generators (corporate parks, sports complexes, hospitals, universities). Collaborate with management company on strategic initiatives, capital planning, and long‑term asset value. Qualifications Minimum 3 years' experience as a General Manager in a focused‑service or select‑service hotel; Hilton or Hilton Garden Inn experience strongly preferred. Proven track record of improving GOP, RevPAR index, guest satisfaction scores, and team engagement. Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, P&L analysis, and cost control. Hands‑on leadership style with excellent communication, people development, and conflict‑resolution skills. Experience with F&B operations in a bar/restaurant environment preferred. Familiarity with Hilton systems (PEP, revenue management, brand tools) preferred. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate.
