Overview The Assistant Guest Services Manager plays a key supporting leadership role by assisting the Guest Services Manager in overseeing daily departmental operations, team performance, guest satisfaction, and operational coordination. This position is responsible for helping maintain seamless guest experiences from pre-arrival through departure while ensuring professionalism, operational consistency, service excellence, and alignment with the Hippocrates Wellness philosophy of holistic wellbeing, compassion, and personalized care. Essential Job Functions Assist the Guest Services Manager in supervising the daily operations of the integrated Guest Services Department while ensuring an elevated, warm, professional, and wellness-focused guest experience. Support the Guest Services Manager in maintaining operational efficiency, departmental organization, and service consistency across all guest-facing functions. Support the Guest Services Manager in supervising front desk staff, including training on phone etiquette and multi-line phone systems. Assist in overseeing guest arrivals, departures, accommodations, itineraries, transportation coordination, guest requests, and overall guest support operations. Support daily communication and coordination between Guest Services, Vida, Oasis Therapy Center, Salon, Fitness, Culinary, Education, Wellness Consultants, Housekeeping, Engineering, and other operational departments. Act as a leadership support resource for Guest Services team members during daily operations and assist with resolving operational and guest-related concerns. Assist the Guest Services Manager with guest recovery efforts and ensure concerns are handled promptly, professionally, compassionately, and confidentially. Assist in training, mentoring, coaching, and developing Guest Services team members while reinforcing service standards and departmental expectations. Help ensure all Guest Services team members consistently maintain professional grooming, appearance, uniform standards, and polished personal presentation aligned with the elevated wellness environment of Hippocrates Wellness. Reinforce a courteous, compassionate, polished, and elevated atmosphere throughout all guest interactions, including in-person communication, phone etiquette, email correspondence, and interdepartmental communications. Support the Guest Services Manager with scheduling coordination, operational coverage, payroll review, and labor management as needed. Skills Proven experience in hospitality management within hotel or resort environments. Multilingual or bilingual abilities to enhance guest interactions across diverse cultures. Strong knowledge of hotel management systems, front desk operations, and guest services procedures. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences. Familiarity with night audit processes and multi-line phone systems is highly desirable. Exceptional communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette.
