This role requires a hands‑on leader who ensures exceptional animal care, staff coordination, and outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, and confident managing both people and pets. Key Responsibilities Facility Operations — Oversee daily boarding activities, scheduling, sanitation standards, and safety protocols. Animal Care Oversight — Ensure all pets receive proper feeding, medication, enrichment, and monitoring. Staff Leadership — Train, supervise, and support team members. Customer Relations — Communicate with pet owners, manage reservations, handle check‑ins/outs and maintain a positive client experience. Record Management — Maintain accurate pet profiles & vaccination records. Required Qualifications Animal Care Experience — Minimum 1-2 years in pet boarding, veterinary, grooming, or shelter environments. Leadership Background — Proven ability to supervise and motivate a team. Behavior & Handling Skills — Confident handling dogs and cats of all sizes, temperaments, and needs. Communication Skills — Professional, clear, and empathetic communication with staff and clients. Organizational Strength — Ability to manage schedules, supplies, and facility workflows. Tech Proficiency — Comfortable using software systems and digital record‑keeping tools. Physical Capability — Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast‑paced environment. Vaccination Knowledge — Understanding of required pet vaccines and health requirements. Education - Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED. License - Must have a valid driver's license. Compensation & Schedule Part/Full‑time position. Competitive pay based on experience. Simple IRA Matching. Time and a half pay on major holidays. Staff pet care discounts.
