Our officers are not simply present they are engaged, observant, and proactive, creating a safe environment while enhancing the guest experience. Position Summary We are seeking high-performing Event Security Officers who demonstrate strong judgment, professional presence, and the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-attendance environments. This role is best suited for individuals who take pride in their work, communicate confidently, and can anticipate and address issues before they escalate.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute access control operations, including ID verification and credential enforcement, with consistency and professionalism Conduct security screenings, including bag checks and handheld or walk through metal detector procedures, in accordance with site protocols Maintain situational awareness across large crowds, identifying risks early Support safe and efficient guest flow, including entry, exit, and restricted areas Apply clear communication and de-escalation techniques when addressing issues Respond decisively to incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations Represent Inner Valor with a polished, customer-focused presence at all times What Sets You Apart We are looking for individuals who demonstrate: Strong awareness, attention to detail, and decision-making ability The ability to remain calm, composed, and professional under pressure Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A team-first mindset with a high level of accountability Reliability you show up early, prepared, and ready to perform
Minimum Qualifications:
18+ years old with a high school diploma or GED Ability to work long shifts (8-12+ hour shifts) in dynamic environments Reliable transportation to various event locations across Chicago and the suburbs Exceptional customer service and communication skills Comfortable working in outdoor event environments Must pass background check and drug test
Preferred Qualifications:
PERC card & 20-hour Basic Security Training certification Experience in event security, hospitality, military, or law enforcement CPR/First Aid certification Prior experience working large-scale events or high-attendance venues
Physical & Mental Requirement:
This role requires sustained physical presence, environmental adaptability, and continuous alertness in dynamic event settings.
Responsibilities include:
Remaining on your feet for extended periods (8 12+ hours), including standing, walking, and active monitoring Working outdoors for prolonged durations in varying weather conditions (heat, sun, wind, rain, and other environmental factors) Operating effectively in crowded, high-noise environments, including entry points and screening areas Maintaining constant situational awareness, attention to detail, and focus throughout the duration of the shift Communicating clearly and effectively with guests and team members in fast-paced and sometimes stressful conditions Navigating dense crowds, restricted areas, stairs, and uneven terrain as required by the event site Responding quickly to incidents, including rapid movement over short distances when necessary Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 25 pounds
