Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Hotel Task Force Banquet Manager to provide interim leadership for hotel banquet operations during staffing transitions, peak business periods, renovations, or special projects. This 1099 contractor position requires a hands-on leader who can quickly integrate into existing teams, maintain service excellence, and ensure the successful execution of banquet and catering events.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily banquet and catering operations. Manage banquet staff scheduling, training, and performance. Ensure exceptional guest service and adherence to brand standards. Coordinate closely with Sales, Catering, Food & Beverage, and Culinary teams. Monitor labor costs, productivity, and operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with all safety, sanitation, and hotel policies. Assist with banquet event execution, setup, service, and breakdown. Provide leadership during staffing shortages, peak seasons, and special events.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of hotel banquet management experience. Previous experience in full-service hotels, resorts, or convention properties. Candidates are required to have prior experience working in a unionized environment. Strong knowledge of banquet operations, labor management, and guest service. Proven ability to lead large teams and manage multiple events simultaneously. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to travel and work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays. Experience with Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, or other major hotel brands is preferred. Why Join Us?
