Job Summary:
The General Manager will oversee the property representing the property as General Manager and working with the property level to maximize each asset's full potential in areas of operations, revenue generation, net operating income, employee engagement, guest satisfaction, capital investment/planning and asset preservation. Maturity, strong financial acumen, superior communication and listening skills as well as knowledge of Hotel, Food and Beverage operations are critical. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Demonstrate ability to act as an owner daily to achieve the goals of the investment Lead and execute the investment strategy and take ownership of how to best execute that strategy Perform administrative duties. Monitor hotel staff to ensure that all procedures are being adhered to as established by management. Recruit, select, train, and manage key position to deliver superior guest services and quality product that will lead to maximizing revenue and profitability goals Proactively strengthen relationships with the Brand. Thorough understanding of all factors affecting markets and submarkets and the impact on the portfolio including a strong understanding of demand generators, revenue management, sales process, and yield strategies to maximize top-line performance Drive property engagement and hold them accountable in efforts to maximize profitability Identify and execute value enhancement opportunities Identify risks to the portfolio and lead efforts to mitigate such risks Develop and lead capital improvement projects that provide attractive returns on investment Regular property inspections to proactively manage and facilitate strategy execution Develop the Marketing Plan and Key Account Action Plans Cultivate lead sources through marketing and social media Establish and maintain close contact with assigned accounts and target accounts Develop strong customer relations through frequent communication, professional, courteous, and ethical interpersonal interactions Conduct research, surveys, personal investigation and studies marketplace and territory in order to effectively capitalize on the hotel's strengths and competitor's weaknesses and capabilities Coordinates internal training and development programs.
