Hotel General Manager

Position Summary:

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences, strong financial performance, and a positive team environment. This role leads day-to-day operations, manages staff across all departments, maintains brand standards, and drives revenue while controlling costs.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily hotel operations, ensuring smooth and efficient performance across all departments (front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and breakfast service) Recruit, hire, train, and develop team members; create schedules and manage staffing levels to meet business demands Foster a strong customer service culture to ensure guest satisfaction and positive reviews Manage inventory, supplies, and vendor relationships to maintain operational readiness Monitor and analyze financial performance, including P&L statements, budgets, and forecasts Control expenses and implement strategies to maximize revenue and profitability Ensure compliance with Holiday Inn Express brand standards, company policies, and local/state regulations Handle guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally Lead ongoing training programs to improve employee performance, service standards, and operational efficiency Conduct regular property inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards are upheld

Qualifications:

Previous hotel management experience required Strong understanding of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, and maintenance Experience managing budgets, P&Ls, and financial reporting Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
