This role is ideal for candidates with limited or no hotel management experience , including interns or assistant managers , who are eager to grow into a Hotel General Manager role through structured training, hands-on experience, and performance-based promotion. This position reports directly to ownership and senior management and provides full exposure to hotel operations, sales, and human resources.
Compensation, Training & Career Path Starting Base Salary:
Start $24 per hour(Based on experience)
Performance-Based Bonus:
Available after training milestones and based on operational KPIs Training Program Structured on-the-job training across hotel operations, sales, and HR Direct mentorship from ownership and senior leadership Regular performance reviews and documented evaluations Promotion & Post-Promotion Compensation Upon successful completion of the training program and meeting all performance and leadership requirements, the candidate may be promoted to Hotel Manager / General Manager .
Post-Promotion Compensation Package Includes:
Increased base salary (adjusted based on role scope and performance) Expanded performance-based bonus structure tied to revenue, occupancy, and operational KPIs Eligibility for additional leadership incentives and long-term growth opportunities Promotion and compensation adjustments are performance-based and not guaranteed. Benefits Performance-based bonus / incentive program Health, dental, and vision insurance options Paid Sick Leave (in accordance with Massachusetts law) Employee lodging and resort discounts Professional training and leadership development Key Responsibilities (Training-Focused)Hotel Operations & Property Management Learn and assist in daily hotel operations (front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, events) Participate in property inspections and operational walkthroughs Support implementation of SOPs and service standards Sales & Revenue Support Assist with sales initiatives, group bookings, and local partnerships Learn pricing strategies, occupancy management, and basic revenue analysis Human Resources & Team Support Assist with recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, and staff coordination Learn labor compliance basics, performance tracking, and documentation Guest Experience Support guest service, issue resolution, and review management Learn service recovery and reputation management practices Reporting & Development Assist with operational reports and KPI tracking Participate in training reviews and performance evaluations Qualifications No prior hotel management experience required Internship, assistant manager, hospitality, business, or customer service background welcome Strong willingness to learn, take responsibility, and grow into leadership Good communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays Preferred (but not required): Hospitality, business, or management-related education Familiarity with hotel systems (PMS / POS) Why Join Chateau Merrimack Resort & Spa Direct access to ownership and real decision-making experience Clear and realistic path to management and leadership roles Opportunity to grow with a unique resort property Training designed to build real managers, not just supervisors Career Mobility & Multi-Property Growth Opportunity Chateau Merrimack Resort & Spa is part of an owner-operated portfolio of boutique resorts and commercial properties across the United States .
