Front Desk Manager
INTRODUCTION TO ROLE
Front Desk Manager responsibilities include registering guests, managing reservations, and providing information about rooms, rates, and amenities. Are responsible for obtaining or receiving tickets and merchandise, totaling bills, accepting payments, and making changes for customers in the camp store. Assisting with the essential functions of the resort Café.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Ensure that each guest receives outstanding service by providing a guest-friendly environment. This includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge, and all other components of guest service.
  • Perform all check-in and check-out tasks.
  • Manage online and phone reservations.
  • Take messages and redirect calls to appropriate offices
  • Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data
  • guests, collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay)
  • Please provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates, and amenities
  • Respond to clients' complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Operate office equipment, such as scanners and printers.
  • Please liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy, and fully furnished to accommodate guests' needs
  • Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees
  • Operate the computer reservation system
  • Maintain updated records of bookings and payments
  • Perform clerical tasks as needed (sorting mail, filing, etc.).
  • Provide local information on restaurants, unique sites, activities, etc.
  • Effectively operate the POS system to correctly assign payments for tickets and merchandise, including accepting payments and providing accurate change.
  • Calculate sales discount to determine the price.
  • Understand the essential functions of the resort café, including making coffee, scooping ice cream, and making milkshakes.
  • Maintaining upkeep and cleanliness of the café by sweeping floors and wiping counters.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Provides regular and reliable attendance
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
The Front Desk Manager will report to the Assistant General Manager (AGM).
WHAT YOU BRING
  • High school diploma or GED Equivalent
  • 2-3 years of Office Manager or Supervisor experience
  • Previous experience in customer service and/or hospitality industry preferred
  • Must work well under pressure and in high-stress situations
  • Must be able to effectively use computers and technologies, including answering the phones, using computers, copiers, fax machines, as well as credit card or cash machines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and Complaint-resolution skills
