Job Description
The Longfellow Hotel, a 48-room luxury boutique hotel, is seeking a Rooms Division Manager. The Rooms Division Manager is the architect of a refined and effortless guest journey, curating each moment from arrival through departure with precision and care. Overseeing housekeeping, front desk, and valet, this role ensures that every interaction reflects an unwavering commitment to exceptional service and a warm welcome. With an eye for detail and a passion for hospitality, the Rooms Division Manager creates an environment where accommodation is not only impeccably presented, but also thoughtfully attuned to the individual preferences of each guest. Seamless collaboration across departments allows for the discreet and efficient resolution of any need, reinforcing Longfellow Hotels' reputation for intuitive, anticipatory service. Through inspiring leadership and operational excellence, this role elevates the guest experience while driving performance across the rooms division—balancing sophistication with efficiency to support the hotel's continued distinction and success. The Longfellow Hotel is managed by Uncommon Hospitality, a family run hospitality company based in Portland, ME. Longfellow Hotel is the 4th managed property in The Uncommon portfolio which also includes The Francis Hotel (Portland), The Colonial Inn and The Admiral's Inn (both in Ogunquit).

Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the front desk, housekeeping, and valet departments to ensure optimal guest satisfaction and adherence to the hotel's standards Develop and implement policies and procedures for the rooms division to maximize efficiency, improve service quality, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Manage room inventory and pricing strategies in coordination with the revenue management team to optimize occupancy rates and revenue. Coordinate with the maintenance department to ensure all guest rooms and public areas are in excellent condition and any issues are promptly addressed. Handle guest complaints and feedback, taking immediate corrective action when necessary to resolve conflicts and prevent recurrence. Prepare and manage the budget for the rooms division, including forecasting and controlling expenses to meet financial objectives. Train, Mentor, and Evaluate the performance of rooms division teams, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Liaise with the sales & marketing teams to support promotional activities and accommodation packages that enhance guest experience and hotel revenue. Ensures guest satisfaction and problem-solve when things go wrong, including conflict resolution and sound judgment. Deep understanding of Uncommon Hospitality's core values and the Longfellow Hotels brand standards with the ability to communicate those values and standards to the team. What you bring to the table: Passion for exceptional hospitality Strong leadership and team management skills 2+ years of hospitality management experience Proficiency in hotel management software such as StaynTouch Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Desire to collaborate with other department heads Able to work weekends, nights, and some holidays A genuine sense of empathy and care towards others Luxury hotel experience preferred Please send us your resume & cover letter, we would love to hear from you!Job Type:
