About the Role We're seeking a hands‑on, service‑driven General Manager to lead our Wyndham Garden by Wyndham property in Sartell, Minnesota. This role is ideal for a hospitality leader who thrives in a full‑service or select‑service hybrid environment, balancing strong operations, guest satisfaction, and financial performance. You'll oversee all aspects of hotel operations while ensuring alignment with Wyndham brand standards, delivering a consistent guest experience, and adapting to Sartell, Minnesota's seasonal travel patterns and local market dynamics. Pre-Opening Responsibilities Lead all pre-opening operational activities Participate in construction and property walkthrough meetings Coordinate with ownership, contractors, and brand representatives Develop staffing plans and hiring timelines Recruit, hire, train, and onboard hotel team members Assist with setup of operational systems and vendor relationships Ensure compliance with all brand standards and opening requirements Prepare the hotel for successful inspections, QA reviews, and opening readiness Operations & Guest Experience Oversee all hotel operations, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Food & Beverage (restaurant/bar or breakfast service if applicable) Ensure adherence to Wyndham Garden brand standards and service expectations Champion guest satisfaction through service excellence, issue resolution, and review management Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and team members year‑round Select, train, and develop an engaged, service‑focused team Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and recognition Coach department leaders to improve results and build bench strength Financial & Revenue Leadership Manage hotel P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and cost controls Drive revenue through smart rate strategies, local demand awareness, and operational efficiency Partner with revenue management and sales resources to maximize occupancy and ADR performance Sales & Local Market Engagement Support and engage in local sales efforts (corporate accounts, regional business, leisure, and group demand) Build partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and tourism sources Represent the hotel within the Sartell, Minnesota community as a professional and responsive leader Sartell, Minnesota‑Specific Readiness Lead seasonal planning (winter weather prep, staffing adjustments, maintenance readiness) Ensure operations remain smooth during weather disruptions and peak travel periods Maintain compliance with all state/local regulations and brand requirements What We're Looking For 3-5+ years hotel leadership experience (GM or strong AGM preferred) Experience in Wyndham, full‑service, or upper midscale hotels strongly preferred Proven ability to drive financial results, team performance, and guest satisfaction scores Strong leadership, communication, and operational problem‑solving skills Familiarity with hotel systems (PMS, labor tools, reporting platforms) Flexibility to work varied schedules based on business needs Preferred Experience with restaurant/bar or expanded F&B operations Background in markets with seasonal occupancy shifts Knowledge of the Sartell, Minnesota hospitality market Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary + performance‑based bonus ($75,000 to $90,000) Paid time off (PTO) Wyndham team member travel discounts Career growth opportunities within a Sartell, Minnesota-based or regional hotel portfolio Work Environment This is an on‑property leadership role requiring strong visibility, hands‑on engagement, and the ability to respond quickly to operational needs.
