Job Description

Courtyard by Marriott, Westampton, NJ is hiring a seasoned, hands-on General Manager. The General Manager will provide day-to-day leadership and direction by maximizing financial returns, creating and maintaining a exceptional guest experience, driving guest satisfaction scores, executing on brand standards, driving development of talent, , executing on brand standards and building awareness of hotel and the brand . Functional Competencies Manage the overall operations of the hotel to maximize profitability and to ensure superior service and product quality is established and maintained Oversee the guest service functions of the hotel to ensure corrective action is taken to resolve guest complaints and ensure superior guest service of Marriott brand standards is delivered Maximize room revenues by anticipating and planning for market shifts; develop and monitor strategic marketing prospects; develops, implements, and monitors annual business and marketing plans Work with the Revenue management to implement sales strategy for the property (e.g., goal setting, setting rates, etc.). Active participation in revenue calls. Oversee the security function to ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, employees and hotel assets Hire and train subordinates, ensure everyone is trained in Marriott brand standards, conducts performance evaluations and provides feedback to subordinates Develop and implement a proactive human resources function to ensure employee motivation, training and development and compliance with policies and procedures that adhere to all labor regulations. Manage Labor Budget and schedules effectively to ensure control of labor costs and achieve profitability goals Prepare for QA audits (i.e., daily and pre-visit activities). Review and follow-up on property GSS scores and comments. Walk the property to ensure public spaces, grounds, work and kitchen areas meet sanitation and cleanliness/maintenance standards Ensure that product quality standards are met in all areas of the hotel as it relates to the appearance, levels of maintenance and cleanliness; establishes and maintains preventative maintenance programs to protect the physical assets of the hotel Provide coaching on operations of technology components within property common areas. Perform other duties as assigned by corporate management Skills and Qualifications A minimum of three years prior hotel management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
MARRIOTT
experience is preferred but will consider strong eqivalent brand management experience. Exposure to Power of M is a plus. Proven ability to deliver exceptional guest service results Desire to operate best in class hotel Must be able to respond to multiple task interruptions in order to provide the best service to our guests Interviews will begin immediately.
