This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in boutique environments, leads with enthusiasm, and is passionate about creating exceptional guest experiences while driving operational excellence. As General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including front desk, bar operations, housekeeping, maintenance, guest satisfaction, team leadership, revenue optimization, and community engagement. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong operational knowledge, team development, and the ability to create memorable guest experiences. Responsibilities Lead and supervise all hotel departments including front desk, bar, housekeeping, and maintenance Oversee daily operations to ensure seamless coordination and high service standards Manage recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, and team development Utilize hotel PMS systems for reservations, reporting, and operational management Develop and implement strategies to improve guest satisfaction, occupancy, and revenue performance Monitor budgets, labor costs, and financial performance to achieve operational goals Oversee preventative maintenance, vendor coordination, and property upkeep Maintain safety, cleanliness, and compliance with health and hospitality standards Resolve guest concerns and foster strong guest relationships through personalized service Support and execute social media initiatives, reputation management, and local marketing efforts Coordinate hotel events, activations, and community partnerships to drive engagement and visibility Qualifications 3+ years of hotel leadership or General Manager experience Strong knowledge of PMS systems and hotel operations Experience with front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services Understanding of budgeting, labor management, and revenue strategy Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Experience with event programming, social media, or community engagement preferred Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus Why SOMOS?
