Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced part time or full time General Manager or Front Office Manager to oversee operations of a 60 unit seasonal resort on Lake George. As General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences, hiring and managing staff, maximizing revenue, and overseeing all aspects of operations. The position is seasonal and the resort is open Memorial Day
  • September 15th. There is the option to start late June to accommodate a school schedule.
  • End of year bonus potential.
Duties:
  • Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance.
  • Ensure excellent customer service by training and supervising staff in phone systems, guest services, and hospitality standards
  • Manage human resources functions such as hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize revenue management and increase profitability
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness and maintenance throughout the hotel
  • Handle guest complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve hotel operations
Experience:
  • Proven experience in hotel management or related field with a focus on hotel front office management.
  • Strong knowledge of hospitality industry practices and procedures
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
  • Ability to use and manage hotel software and scheduling software
  • Proficient in revenue management techniques to maximize profitability We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
