Job Description

The DoubleTree by Hilton Syracuse offers 250 guest rooms, 14,000 square feet of flexible banquet space, a full-service restaurant & lounge, an indoor pool, and high-end fitness center. Our hospitality professionals are all focused on delivering outstanding guest service to our guests. Job Summary The Front Desk Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk at our hotel. This position is responsible for shift oversight of guest services and front desk staff, while maintaining high standards of customer service. The ideal candidate will possess previous hotel front desk supervisory experience and demonstrate exceptional communication skills to enhance guest relations. Duties Supervise daily front desk operations, ensuring efficient check-in and check-out processes. Train, mentor, and manage front desk staff to provide outstanding guest services. Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and care. Maintain accurate records of room availability and reservations using hotel management software. Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure rooms are ready for guests. Implement and uphold hotel policies and procedures to enhance guest satisfaction. Manage phone systems effectively to assist guests promptly and efficiently. Foster a welcoming environment for guests by providing information about hotel amenities and local attractions. Skills Proven experience in front desk operations within a hotel setting. Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations. Proficiency in using phone systems and hotel management software. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. One years prior hotel front desk supervisory experience is required. Full Service hotel experience desired. Hilton OnQ / Pep certification preferred. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights and holidays as needed. This role is essential for creating memorable experiences for our guests while supporting a dedicated team committed to exceptional service.
