This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, financial performance, and guest satisfaction and provides direct oversight of key operating departments and assumes full leadership of the hotel in the absence of the General Manager. The Assistant General Manager partners with hotel leadership to execute business strategies, uphold brand standards, and deliver measurable results aligned with company goals. Ensure exceptional guest service, lead service recovery, and maintain brand and quality standards. Support annual business planning and budgeting. Monitor labor, expenses, and productivity to meet profitability goals. Review night audit, reservations, and inventory controls to support revenue optimization. Lead and coach department managers and supervisors. Oversee staffing, scheduling, training, and performance evaluations. Participate in the Manager‑on‑Duty rotation and provide shift coverage as needed. Drive clear communication across departments and partner with Sales, Revenue Management, and Accounting to achieve hotel objectives. Maintain strong alignment with the General Manager and leadership team. Ensure adherence to company policies, safety protocols, and brand standards while supporting key pillars such as revenue growth, cost management, guest satisfaction, and associate engagement. Skills & Requirements Minimum of three years of hospitality management experience with focus on Rooms and Front Office. Prior Marriott experience required. Strong financial, operational, and leadership skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced setting.
