Assistant General Manager (Front Desk & Food & Beverage)Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and service-driven Assistant General Manager to oversee daily operations across the front desk, breakfast service, bar, and all-day dining. This role is central to delivering a seamless, personalized guest experience in a boutique hotel setting. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at multitasking, and is passionate about hospitality. This position primarily requires evening (PM) shifts, with weekend availability essential.Key Responsibilities:
Guest Experience & Front Desk Operations Lead front desk operations, including check-in/check-out, guest inquiries, and concierge services Ensure a warm, personalized, and efficient guest experience at all touchpoints Handle guest feedback, concerns, and service recovery with professionalism Train and mentor front desk staff to maintain high service standards Food & Beverage Oversight Oversee daily breakfast service, ensuring quality, presentation, and timely execution Manage bar operations, including service standards, inventory, and compliance Coordinate and supervise all-day dining/menu offerings Ensure cleanliness, organization, and ambiance of all F&B areas including back of house. Team Leadership & Training Supervise, schedule, and support cross-functional team members (front desk + F&B staff) Foster a collaborative, guest-focused culture Conduct training on service standards, upselling, and product knowledge Operations & Administration Monitor inventory levels and place orders for food, beverage, and supplies Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations Track daily revenue, control costs, and support budgeting efforts Collaborate with housekeeping and management to ensure smooth operations Assist the General Manager with daily operational tasks, reporting, and special projects Additional Support Assist housekeeping team as needed to ensure rooms and public spaces meet hotel standards Step into various operational roles as needed to support overall hotel performanceSchedule & Availability:
Primarily evening (PM) shifts Weekend availability is required Flexibility to work holidays and occasional mornings as neededQualifications:
2-5+ years of hospitality experience, preferably in a boutique hotel or similar setting Experience in both front desk operations and food & beverage service preferred Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic environment Knowledge of POS systems and hotel management softwarePreferred Traits:
