Job Description

Job Summary SJS Hospitality Hotels is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to serve as the Front Office Manager at the very busy downtown Fairfield hotel . You will oversee daily operations at the front desk, manage guest relations, and coordinate with various departments to deliver seamless hospitality service. Your leadership will foster a welcoming atmosphere, uphold hotel standards, and drive guest satisfaction through outstanding customer service and efficient management of front desk activities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your hospitality expertise, and passion for creating memorable stays for every guest. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate all front desk operations, including reservations, check-in/check-out procedures, and guest inquiries. Lead and motivate front office staff to deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a friendly, professional, and efficient environment. Manage guest relations by addressing concerns promptly, resolving issues effectively, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction. Oversee night audit processes to ensure accurate financial reconciliation and reporting at the end of each shift. Maintain a thorough understanding of Marriott brand standards and ensure required training and front desk brand standards are met Ensure adherence to phone etiquette standards and handle all guest interactions with professionalism and warmth. Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance, food & beverage, and other departments to meet guest needs and uphold hotel standards. Monitor daily occupancy levels, room availability, and rate adjustments to maximize revenue opportunities. Conduct regular staff training on hospitality management practices, guest services protocols, and hotel policies. Implement procedures for safety, security, and confidentiality in line with hotel policies. Experience Proven experience in hospitality management or hotel front desk operations within a resort or hotel environment. Strong background in customer service with excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing a team in a fast-paced setting. Familiarity with hotel PMS systems required. Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism while maintaining a positive attitude. Must be flexible to work all hours as needed by the demands of the hotel. Scheduled days off are typically during the week. Evening hours required.
