Position Summary We are seeking an experienced, self motivated Front Desk Supervisor to lead our front desk team and ensure exceptional guest service at our 24-hour front desk. In this hands-on supervisory role, you will oversee daily operations, train and mentor staff, handle guest inquiries and complaints, and maintain smooth check-in/check-out processes. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a positive attitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for hospitality in a smaller motel environment. Key Responsibilities Supervise, train, schedule, and coach front desk agents to deliver friendly, efficient, and professional service. Oversee daily front desk operations, including guest check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and room assignments. Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally to ensure high satisfaction and positive reviews. Process payments, manage cash/credit transactions accurately, and balance daily reports (including night audit support). Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance departments to resolve issues and prepare rooms efficiently. Monitor room inventory, upsell rooms and amenities when appropriate, and maximize occupancy. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and lobby area. Enforce hotel policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with safety and security standards. Assist with administrative tasks such as shift reports, inventory of supplies, and performance feedback. Provide 24-hour front desk coverage as needed, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality management or related coursework preferred. 2+ years of hotel front desk experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role. Strong customer service skills with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure. Proficiency with hotel property management systems (PMS), basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email), and cash-handling experience. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities. Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays (24-hour operation). Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Prior experience in a smaller motel or independent hotel setting is a plus.
